The Other HNT - 2010

"Reflections", posted January 7, 2010.  While staying with out-of-town family in December 2009, we had sex on a mirrored canopy bed.  Although we didn't know it at the time, this would be the first of fifty-two consecutive pictures submitted to OHNT.

"Baby on Board", posted January 14, 2010.  Having decided by this point to submit a picture every week for the entire year, we decided that rather than something overtly sexual like we did the previous week, we'd instead opt for something different.  Jill was very noticeably pregnant here, as she would be in quite a few of the subsequent pictures.

"Want a lick?" posted January 21, 2010.  We decided to go back to overtly sexual for our third picture.  During an exciting oral sex session, I snapped a few shots.  I'm not sure why the end result ended up resembling an acid trip, but I'm sure I was trying to go for an artsy fartsy look.  The red background is actually our Liberator Throe on which I am standing and Jill is kneeling.

"Rinsing Off", posted January 28, 2010.  Similar to "Baby on Board", this shot features Jill in the shower, her body a beautiful vision doused in soapy water.  Unlike "Baby on Board", her pregnancy is hidden from the camera.  The use of the sepia filter was an arbitrary decision; I'm certain this picture would have had the same effect in grayscale or with no filter whatsoever.  In the bottom left-hand side of the picture you can see the hose of the handheld showerhead that we had in our master bathroom at the time.  Having moved since this picture was taken, we miss it.

"Self-Reliance", posted February 4, 2010.  This marks the first of three pictures of Jill watching porn at her desk.  The first two were submitted back to back, while the third wasn't sent in for more than three months.  These were not taken specifically for OHNT; accordingly a few identifying elements of the shot have been edited out.

"Going For It", posted February 11, 2010.  The follow-up to the previous picture, this shot was taken from a slightly different angle, giving a better look at Jill's hand at play.  As was the case with the previous  shot, this picture was not taken specifically for submission to OHNT.  At the time, Jill had a scratch on her stomach, which I edited out, thinking it would be distracting.  In retrospect I wish I hadn't.

"Getting Ready", posted February 18, 2010.  For an HNT picture, this is a bit of an odd choice.  It doesn't feature any nudity or overt sexiness - although both Jill and I do find this image very alluring.  It wasn't taken specifically for OHNT, and unlike the two previous pictures, it wasn't taken by either one of us.  This shot was taken by our wedding photographer on our wedding day almost three years earlier.  It wasn't our ideal choice for an HNT picture, as it really doesn't capture the spirit of the meme, but when this was posted Jill and I were living apart, and our plans to take something specifically for submission to OHNT fell through.  We improvised; it happens.  We still really like this shot.  Incidentally, the hands lacing up the back of Jill's wedding dress belong to my mother-in-law.  She has no idea she's appeared in an HNT picture.

"Hanging Out", posted February 25, 2010.  This shot is simple, perhaps understated, but still indicative of Jill's attitude and sexual confidence.  During her pregnancy, Jill's breasts grew considerably, and her areolae darkened from a rosy pink to the shade seen here.  It bears noting that at this point in the pregnancy her libido reached new heights.  It was a very intense and fun time for our sexual relationship.

"Waiting", posted March 11, 2010.  This shot was taken around the same time as our initial shot, "Reflections", as evidenced by the blanket and the tell-tale pink highlights on Jill's lingerie.  Though poorly-framed, I liked the way Jill's legs look here: splayed wantonly, they seem to be inviting the viewer between them.

"Slippery Stuff", posted May 13, 2010.  This is the conclusion of the series begun with "Self-Reliance" and continued with "Going For It".  As with the other two shots, this one was not taken with the intention of submission to OHNT.  The title of this shot refers to the brand of lube Jill is squeezing onto her fingers.  As with "Self-Reliance", I love the way Jill's toes look on the edge of the desk.

"Bare skin, rug", posted May 27, 2010.  This shot was part of a particularly long photo shoot.  We were desperate for something out of the ordinary, something perhaps a bit unorthodox, even.  We ended up taking almost a hundred shots which, for 2010 signified a long photo shoot.  These days it isn't unusual for a photo shoot of ours to yield more than two hundred shots, though it's a sure thing that not all of them will be satisfactory.  Out of all of the pictures we took, this shot was the only one we were both happy with.  The contrast between the brown carpet, the black throw blanket, and Jill's golden flesh was a happy accident, and the play on words that is the photo's title is something of which I'm kind of proud.

"I still love my rabbit...", posted June 16, 2010.  Though I had misgivings initially, and worried that Jill's legs would somehow blend into the wall behind her, I like the way the sepia filter gives this shot a touch of style and class.  I find the use of sepia in explicit erotic photography to be somewhat paradoxical, as I'm guessing that most old-timey photography from the 1930s and 1940s didn't include vibrators.  I'm also fond of the way Jill is tentatively tweaking her nipple in the foreground of the shot, and had I given it sufficient thought beforehand I would have played around with depth of field and/or applied a blur effect to everything but her hand and her breast.
